Hey, everybody!
This week, I want to take a moment to provide updates on what’s going on at Colston’s Desk. I’ve reached a transition point with my blog, and I believe it’s time to move into the next stage of growth for this outlet. I have a few new initiatives that I’ve decided to approach. I plan to create a newsletter for the blog, extend the blog’s content to a vlog format, move into the next stage of the Forge the Future initiative, and increase focus on informative, non-parliamentary blog content. Let me break down what all of that means.

Colston’s Desk Newsletter
I’m starting a newsletter! I’d like to approach my work from a slightly different angle, one that allows me to put a more personal touch on the subjects that I cover. I tend to try to leave my blog articles for strict reporting and informing. However, publishing a newsletter will provide an opportunity for me to write editorial content with regard to recent events that relate to the topics on my blog.
What Does This Look Like?
I haven’t locked down the final format for the newsletter yet. However, I’ll share what I’m thinking so far.
Frequency
I’m currently planning to publish the newsletter on a bi-monthly basis, releasing issues on the first and fifteenth days of every month.
Audience Feedback
I’ve received great feedback from my audience. From accolades for informing the public to useful ideas for The People’s Parliament, readers of the blog have been expressing their excitement about the content I’m providing. For the viewers who are willing, I’d like to share the spirit of these interactions with the broader Colston’s Desk community.
United States People’s Parliament (USPP)
I’d like to dedicate a section of the newsletter to providing an overview of how the USPP could function to empower the public to push back against current threats to democracy.
Buried in the Blog
I’m going to refocus on non-parliamentary content. I still have an interest in researching politics and the economy, reporting on these events to provide insights for my audience. I also want to spend more time covering events in the entertainment industry, especially those related to my two favorite genres: SciFi and Fantasy. I’ll highlight these projects in this section of the newsletter.
Colston’s Desk Vlog
I’ll bet you didn’t know that I have a vlog on YouTube! As of now, the only content on the Colston’s Desk vlog consists of a how-to playlist that covers setting up a specific type of automation in Trello, an online project management tool. I plan to start building out the vlog with more playlists that cover content that I have published to the blog, since releasing the instructional article that served as the basis for the aforementioned playlist. You can expect The People’s Parliament to be covered there. I’ll also add videos for other blog-related content: politics, economic analysis and entertainment coverage.
Forge the Future
With the recent release of “There Is No Tomorrow”, I’ve made the final case for The People of the United States of America to gather into the USPP, in order to take back control of the government and remake the country, in the image of the true ideals of freedom and democracy. Also, if you missed the deeper coverage of the purpose behind The People’s Parliament, then check out “The People’s Parliament – Political Philosophy”. With that, the core tenants of The People’s Parliament and the United States People’s Parliament have been covered. As such, all articles are outlined in the Forge the Future initiative page. As of now, my focus will be diverted from writing about the philosophy of The People’s Parliament to developing content that focuses on both marketing and distributing these ideas and providing easily digestible directives that empower individuals to quickly activate in the spirit of the USPP. This will include vlog content, but will also entail other avenues. As always, stay tuned to Colston’s Desk for details.
Blog Focus
As stated in the “Buried in the Blog” section of the Colston’s Desk newsletter announcement above, I’m going to spend more time on passion writing projects, now that the core of The People’s Parliament has been covered.
When Is This Happening?
Short answer: April 1, 2026. That’s when I plan to begin distributing the newsletter and developing content for the Colston’s Desk vlog.
Don’t worry. I’ll continue publishing content to the blog, in the meantime. However, the month of March 2026 will also see me engaging in a good deal of planning so that I can prepare for the desired growth in content delivery.
This is going to be a lot of work, but I’m excited to expand the Colston’s Desk footprint and provide quality, expansive content for you. I’m looking forward to jumping on this ride. I hope you’ll join me.
Regards,
Colston
